The Seattle Mariners have optioned 3B Matt Tuiasosopo to Triple-A Tacoma, according to MLB.com's Greg Johns. OF Mike Wilson and Ps Denny Bautista, Justin M. Miller and Royce Ring were reassigned to minor league camp. The Mariners still have 35 players in spring training camp and need to cut 10 more players before the start of the regular season.

Mariners | Tom Wilhelmsen still in camp

Seattle Mariners P Tom Wilhelmsen has given up two runs in eight spring innings this spring and has improved his changeup, according to the Tacoma News Tribune's Larry LaRue. "My changeup has really improved this spring," Wilhelmsen said. "I've learned you've got to get ahead of big league hitters, that you can't throw a pitch even a good one in the same spot twice in a row to a good hitter." He is currently competing with RPs Denny Bautista, Jose Flores, Royce Ring and Cesar Jimenez for a spot in the bullpen.
