Tigers.MLB.com's Jason Beck reports Detroit Tigers RP Chris Mears has been officially named the closer for the team by manager Alan Trammell. "I would have to say right now, yeah, he is," Trammell said. "He's 3-for-3 and right now with the way the staff is, yeah. He's not a [Dennis] Eckersley or somebody like that, but maybe he can grow in that. But I'm not going to be bashful about saying it."
