However, since Song (arm) missed half of the 2004 season with an arm injury, marking the second time in the last four years he's missed significant time due to an injury, the team will also be looking for him to log innings and prove he is healthy. Under that scenario, it is more likely he'll end up at Triple-A Syracuse.

Song went 3-1 with a 4.26 ERA in 13 appearances with Triple-A Edmonton in 2004, and is currently working as a starter with Peoria in the Arizona Fall League.

Song will likely need six weeks to heal and another four to regain strength in his pitching arm.
