Spencer Fordin, of Bluejays.MLB.com, reports Toronto Blue Jays P Seung Song will likely go into Spring Training competing for the No. 5 spot in the rotation. However, since Song (arm) missed half of the 2004 season with an arm injury, marking the second time in the last four years he's missed significant time due to an injury, the team will also be looking for him to log innings and prove he is healthy. Under that scenario, it is more likely he'll end up at Triple-A Syracuse.

The Associated Press reports the Toronto Blue Jays claimed right-handed P Seung Song off waivers from the Montreal Expos Saturday, Nov. 13. Song went 3-1 with a 4.26 ERA in 13 appearances with Triple-A Edmonton in 2004, and is currently working as a starter with Peoria in the Arizona Fall League.

The Montreal Gazette is reporting Montreal Expos P Seung Song (arm), currently at Triple-A Edmonton, suffered a fractured distal radius bone in his right arm and probably will be out until August. Song will likely need six weeks to heal and another four to regain strength in his pitching arm.
