The Colorado Rockies have halted SP Jorge De La Rosa's (forearm, elbow) rehab assignment because he was bothered by tightness in his left forearm near the end of his start for Double-A Tulsa Thursday, May 17. The team recalled De La Rosa from his rehab assignment Saturday, May 19, and he will be frozen for seven days before he can be placed on the disabled list again with forearm tightness, so that he can begin a new 30-day minor league rehab window.

Updating previous reports, Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa (elbow) allowed a run on three hits and three walks while fanning four in four innings at Double-A Tulsa Thursday, May 17. He threw 73 pitches, 43 for strikes. His target return date is June 2.

Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa (forearm, elbow) will start for Double-A Tulsa Thursday, May 17, and he'll throw around 85 pitches. He experienced forearm tightness in his last rehab outing. If he doesn't have any setbacks, he'll start for Triple-A Colorado Springs Tuesday, May 22.

Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa (elbow) said Friday, May 4, that he was pleased with his first outing with Class A Modesto. He will return to Modesto from Arizona to make another rehab appearance Monday, May 7. "Things are going great," De La Rosa said. "I feel good. No problems so far. I just have to keep on pitching."

Rockies | Jorge De La Rosa leaves rehab start early

Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa (hand, elbow) left his rehab start early with Single-A Modesto Wednesday, May 2, after he was hit on his right hand by a line drive in the third inning. He finished the inning but left after as a precaution after throwing 45 pitches. He threw 20 more pitches in the bullpen, and he's still scheduled to start with Modesto Monday, May 7. De La Rosa reached 94 mph on the radar gun, his highest velocity since having elbow surgery last year.
