Rockies | Jorge De La Rosa denied milestone win |
Mon, 25 Jul 2016 22:47:38 -0700
Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa allowed just two runs - one earned - and four hits over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision Monday, July 25, against the Baltimore Orioles. He was seeking his 100th career victory.
Fantasy Tip: JDLR rebounded rather nicely after an ugly performance last time out against Tampa Bay when he yielded a career-high nine runs. He remains a decent NL-only fantasy option and DFS play.

Rockies | JDLR bounced around at Coors Field |
Wed, 20 Jul 2016 22:02:19 -0700
Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa allowed nine runs - seven earned - and 11 hits over four innings with two walks and a strikeout Wednesday, July 20, against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Fantasy Tip: JDLR had been money at Coors Field heading into this season, but he has been a disaster regardless of venue this season. He is 6-7 with a 6.07 ERA this season and is only worth keeping in the deepest of NL-only leagues at this point.

Rockies | Jorge De La Rosa solid in loss |
Wed, 06 Jul 2016 22:54:34 -0700
Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa allowed three earned runs, seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts over seven innings in a loss Wednesday, July 6, against the San Francisco Giants. He threw 64 of his 97 pitches for strikes in the quality start.
Fantasy Tip: JDLR was horrible to start the season, posting a 10.08 ERA through his first eight appearances. However, he has managed four straight quality starts and a respectable 3.12 ERA over his past four outings to lower his ERA to 5.74. He still has work to do, but he has re-emerged as a useful option in most NL-only fantasy formats.

Rockies | Jorge De La Rosa excels in loss |
Fri, 01 Jul 2016 22:35:44 -0700
Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa held the Los Angeles Dodgers to two runs on five hits in seven innings on Friday, July 1. He walked four and struck out four in the team's 5-0 loss.
Fantasy Tip: Downside: the loss breaks De La Rosa's four-game (and three-start) winning streak. Upside: It's his third quality start in a row, and he worked nine combined scoreless innings in the prior two appearances. It looks like De La Rosa's move out of the rotation got him going again, and he already has deep mixed league value.

Marlins | Marcell Ozuna big part of historic game |
Mon, 20 Jun 2016 20:24:18 -0700
Miami Marlins OF Marcell Ozuna enjoyed his first multi-homer game of the season Monday, June 20, clobbering a pair of offerings from Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa into the left-field stands in a 5-3 defeat. Ozuna's solo shots were two of eight hit by both teams, breaking the MLB record (five) for the highest-scoring game in which every run was scored via a solo homer.
Fantasy Tip: Ozuna isn't hitting .411 like he was last month, but Monday's effort puts him well on pace to eclipse the seven homers and 17 RBI he collected in May (five home runs and 16 RBI in June thus far). Due to the fact he doesn't steal any bases, he hasn't been quite a top-10 fantasy outfielder this season, but he's been among the best four-category hitters in baseball all season long.
