Former Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora said he has left an imprint on the city of Atlanta and as a result, he has been able to recruit many top players from the state of Georgia. Mora currently serves as head coach of UCLA. Mora also took a shot at the Falcons for their lack of playoff success. "The bottom line is this: The last time the Falcons won a playoff game, I was the head coach," Mora said. "Kids remember that game, the 47-17 victory over the St. Louis Rams (in the 2004 divisional playoffs). A lot of kids around Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the Southeast follow the Falcons. They know that was the last time that the Falcons have won a playoff game ... For all the success that the Falcons have had since we left, they still haven't won a playoff game - and that resonates with people."

However, the two sides have not discussed a contract thus far. It appears the Titans will take their time to make a decision. Head coach Jeff Fisher, according to sources, is expected to talk to a number of candidates during the coming week. Jim Mora Jr., Clancy Pendergast (University of California), and Gregg Williams (currently with the New Orleans Saints) could be options, or the team could look to promote assistant head coach Dave McGinnis to defensive coordinator. There is also a situation that could see Fisher handling the defensive play calling himself.
