Vikings | Childress' son charged with DWI Fri, 08 Jan 2010 20:35:57 -0800 John Brewer, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress' son, Aaron Kyle Childress, has been charged with gross misdemeanor DWI after he allegedly backed into a parked car Saturday, Jan. 2. He was detained by bar staff and allegedly had a blood-alcohol level of .23, almost three times the legal limit, when he was tested by police. It was his second arrest on alcohol-related traffic offenses in the past 12 months, according to court documents.

Favre got into a heated exchange with Childress on the sideline during the game. "Yeah, there was a heated discussion, I guess you would call it," Favre said of the exchange. "No secret, I was getting hit a little bit. I felt the pressure on a lot of plays. We had seven points. So I think everyone in the building was like, 'They're not moving the ball, they're not getting points.' Brad wanted to go in a different direction and I wanted to stay in the game." Favre added, "We were up 7-6. Yeah, it's not 70-6, but we're up 7-6. So I said, 'I'm staying in the game, I'm playing.' I don't know if it was exactly to protect me, or we had seven points, I'm not sure. That's his call. But we talked it out..."
