Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the team will continue to use the 3-4 defensive alignment as their base defense but will also be using multiple defensive looks next season. "We were not as multiple maybe this year as we've been in prior years really because of the stress of injuries on that unit so we want to get back to some of the things that we did very well in the past and make sure we're carrying enough packages to utilize all of our players," McCarthy said. "We obviously need to get better on defense, and I think these moves that we've made on defense will definitely put us on that path."

"The University of Texas, Austin is a great city. My daughter obviously grew up there, but I am proud to be a Green Bay Packer," McCarthy said. "It's an honor to hold this position. This is home for me. This is home for my family."

Green Bay Packers S Sean Richardson, who played this weekend in his third game since coming off neck surgery, replaced starter M.D. Jennings in the second quarter and impressed the Packers enough that they want to at least give him more playing time against the Dallas Cowboys. "Very aggressive," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "I liked what he did on defense. Sean brings an attitude, energy, juice. So he may get some more opportunities this week."
