Arizona Cardinals TE Troy Niklas "continues to press (Jermaine Gresham and Darren Fells) for the starting job", according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Fantasy Tip: Niklas blocked well and hauled in two passes for 44 yards in the preseason opener, and he probably would have scored a touchdown as well if not for an errant pass from Drew Stanton. The tight end does not usually play an important part in the passing attack in Arians' offense, so owners can move along.

Arizona Cardinals WR JJ Nelson averaged 27.2 yards on 11 catches as a rookie in 2015. Head coach Bruce Arians stated it is a goal of his to get Nelson on the field more often next season.
Fantasy Tip: Arians' offenses rarely use the tight end in the passing game, but not much else appears to be working in Nelson's favor in regards to making him relevant in fantasy. The Cardinals are stacked at receiver with Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown, and have two very soft-handed running backs in David Johnson and Andre Ellington. Owners in standard leagues can ignore Nelson for now.

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson "has a chance to be one of the all-time best", according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Fantasy Tip: Arians has been known to engage in a bit of hyperbole from time to time, but Johnson did emerge as a total-yardage machine once Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington both succumbed to injury. While he has a long way to go to prove he could be "one of the all-time best", David Johnson will probably be a top 10-15 fantasy pick at worst this summer as one of the few clear-cut feature backs in the league.

The Arizona Cardinals are not expected to use the franchise tag because they don't have any free agents that are worth it, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Josh Weinfuss. General manager Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians have been good at filling voids in free agency and through the draft.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he has no intention of resting his starters in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. Arians said the Cardinals will approach it as if it were Week 1 of the season.
Fantasy Tip: The Cardinals could elect to remove some starters late in the game if the Carolina Panthers are comfortably ahead in their matchup at the same time, considering the Cardinals would have nothing to gain if Carolina wins in Week 17. Approach this like any other week, but consider the possibility that the Cardinals offense could struggle to perform at a high level against a tough Seattle defense.
