New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said there is no reason why RB David Wilson should not be ready to see more action in Week 13. "You've got to be ready and have an understanding of what your assignments are and what adjustments you have to make to handle the specific challenges or problems that the Redskins present," Gilbride said. "He's certainly been around long enough to learn from the guys ahead of him that have done a great job with handling that stuff."

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was not happy with comments made by New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride, who feels that DE Justin Smith "gets away with murder." Harbaugh said in a statement released by the team Friday, Oct. 12, "Kevin Gilbride's outrageous, irrational statement regarding Justin Smith's play is, first, an absurd analogy. Second, it is an incendiary comment targeting one of the truly exemplary players in this league. It's obvious that the Giants coaching staff's sole purpose is to use their high visibility to both criticize and influence officiating."

New York Giants offensive coordinator coordinator Kevin Gilbride is happy that WR Hakeem Nicks (foot, knee) is close to returning. "There's a ...reason he's a starter," Gilbride said. "You see the contribution he's capable of making when you see Tampa Bay. That's the difference. The other guy shave filled in admirably. We're very, very proud to see what Ramses did for a couple of games, what Rueben did this past game, Domenik's been unbelievable all season long. So I'm proud of them all, but you always want your best players and your starters to come back. The more you have there the more difficult it is for people to match up. The advantages they have in certain spots, maybe they start swinging in your favor. So to get him back would be great. The problem is, just getting him back is one thing. What level he'll be able to play at is another."
