Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars may be interested in signing free agent DL Chad Bratzke (Colts), although a move is not anticipated in the near future. "We have looked at the list," head coach Jack Del Rio said. "We have squeezed everything we can out of that list. It's not the time of year. Defensive ends just don't fall out of the sky."

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Indianapolis Colts have a $4.78 million salary cap charge this season due to the contract of former DE Chad Bratzke. In total, the team has $11.96 million in "dead money" assigned to players no longer with the team this season.

The Indianapolis Star reports the Indianapolis Colts will release DL Chad Bratzke in cost-cutting moves prior to March 3, but Colts team president Bill Polian did not rule out a return. Bratzke will count $10.3 million against the 2004 salary cap. By terminating his contract, the Colts will save $5.5 million.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis Colts DE Chad Bratzke restructured his contract and will save the team about $2.3 million against the salary cap. He agreed to lower his base salary from $4.25 million to $655,000 and forego a $1 million roster bonus due March 3. He’ll receive a $4.595 million signing bonus at a later date. His original cap hit of $7.734 million is lowered to $5.437 million.

DE Chad Bratzke, who missed the Kansas City game two weeks ago with a high ankle sprain, was limping again Sunday evening. As previously reported, starting LG Steve McKinney broke a bone in his back. He's expected to miss 2-4 weeks of action.

Phillip B. Wilson reports for the Indianapolis Star that Indianapolis Colts DE Chad Bratzke (ribs) was expected to be a game time decision this weekend had the Colts played. Bratzke said he was going to try and play but admitted it would have been tough. Head coach Jim Mora stated another week of rehab will help Bratzke's recovery but the team isn't sure yet if he'll be ready for the Bills in week three.
