Spencer Fordin, of Orioles.MLB.com, reports the Baltimore Orioles have acquired IF Bo Hart from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for future considerations. Hart has been assigned to Triple-A Norfolk.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Joe Strauss reports St. Louis Cardinals 2B Bo Hart has been told to stop switch-hitting and focus on batting right-handed. "I told him to get himself ready for April because he's got a legitimate chance to make the club," Cardinals MAN Tony La Russa said. "I think it's confusing to get yourself ready at the same time you're figuring out when to take a lefthanded at-bat."

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports St. Louis Cardinals 2B Bo Hart is being encouraged to switch-hit to increase his chances of playing time with the parent club. "I don't yet see the advantage of facing this side versus that side," Hart said. "I know there's an advantage, but it's going to take time to see that. I'd like to know (the) motivation. Hopefully, (they're) looking at it as another way to keep me on the team."

According to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis Cardinals will seek an outside player to come in and play second base in 2005, meaning neither IF Bo Hart nor IF Hector Luna will likely be regulars in the lineup.
