Updating a previous item, the Contra Costa Times' Joe Roderick reports San Francisco Giants 1B Francisco Santos is the same player formerly known as Deivis Santos. The 29-year-old player was signed out of the Dominican Republic at the stated age of 17, even though he was actually 23 at the time. Also, he entered professional baseball with the name "Deivis", which was taken from his brother's name David, who was 17 when (Francisco) Santos was signed in 1997. The discrepancies originally came to light during spring training when Santos was delayed from leaving the Dominican Republic due to passport problems. He now plays with his real name and actual age.
