The club wanted to recall SP Bruce Chen when it sent RP Vin Mazzaro to Triple-A Omaha, but Chen isn't due to pitch until Friday, June 24. "We knew we were going to make the move with Mazzaro, but it didn't make any sense to have Mazzaro sitting here for five days when we could get a guy like Dyson who we could bring up for three days to help us win," Royals manager Ned Yost said.
