The Houston Astros optioned P Aneury Rodriguez, OF Fernando Martinez and 3B Jimmy Paredes to Triple-A Round Rock. They also reassigned OF Brad Snyder, P Jose Valdez and SP Xavier Cedeno to minor league camp.

Chicago Cubs SS Starlin Castro (knee) is feeling fine after bruising his right knee Sunday, March 13, according to MLB.com's Carrie Muskat. OF Brett Jackson (shoulder) and IF Augie Ojeda (back) are being listed as day-to-day. OF Brad Snyder (oblique) has been dealing with a sore oblique. Castro did not play Monday, March 14.
