Scott Merkin, of WhiteSox.MLB.com, reports Chicago White Sox 2B Tadahito Iguchi (ankle) missed the game Tuesday, July 4, and was replaced by SS Alex Cintron in the lineup. Manager Ozzie Guillen said Iguchi figures to be out of action for the next two or three days. If Iguchi goes on the disabled list, Guilllen mentioned Class A SS Robert Valido or Triple-A IF Jorge Velandia as possible replacements.

The Chicago Tribune reports Chicago White Sox IF prospect Robert Valido was suspended for 15 games after testing positive for performance-enhancing substances. The suspension was effective with games beginning Thursday, May 12.
