Both players are questionable, but head coach Jim Mora said Peterson is doubtful. WR Trevor Insley (concussion) has been given medical clearance to return this weekend.

The Indianapolis Star reports Indianapolis Colts starting LDE Brad Scioli (high ankle sprain) will miss next Monday's game. Backup DE Chukie Nwokorie sustained a sprained knee that could limit his availability. RB Dominic Rhodes (right wrist and a low back bruise) is expected to play next Monday. Backup WR Trevor Insley (concussion) may return. LB Mike Peterson (knee) could return, but coach Jim Mora called him "50-50." Peterson has missed the past three games. Mora said the same applies to rookie S Cory Bird (knee/ankle).

Mike Chappell reports for the Indianapolis Star that Indianapolis Colts rookie WR Reggie Wayne (sprained right knee) will miss this weekend's game. WR Terrence Wilkins will start for the Colts opposite of Marvin Harrison. WRs Trevor Insley and Tony Simmons will serve as the backups.

The Indianapolis Star reports if Indianapolis Colts rookie WR Reggie Wayne (knee) cannot play, the Colts would be down to just three healthy wide receivers this weekend -- Marvin Harrison, Terrence Wilkins and Trevor Insley. The team hasn't ruled out signing another receiver, and former Colts WR E.G. Green could be a possibility. Green was released earlier this year and never caught on with another team.

Updating an earlier story, Mike Chappell reports for the Indianapolis Star Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning's injury is apparently to his right ankle. It was trapped under the weight of a Minnesota defensive lineman, who rolled into him after he completed a 19-yard pass to WR Trevor Insley late in the second quarter. " 'Sprain' is the word they're using right now,' " Manning said. "They want to get a picture of it and see." An MRI today will determine the severity of the ankle injury, as well as whether the knee also was damaged. According to Manning wrapping his knee was just a precautionary measure. The injury will most likely keep Manning out of Thursday's pre-season finale at Cincinnati.

The Associated Press reports the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-21 behing backup QB Mark Rypien. Rypien completed 12-of-20 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns in his first action in an NFL game since 1997. Rypien entered the game on the final series of the first half after backup QB Billy Joe Hobert left with a head injury. He threw a 9-yard TD pass to Trevor Insley and 4-yard touchdown pass to Drew Haddad. Haddad added a 94-yard punt return TD later in the game. For the Seahawks, QB Trent Dilfer, who signed with the Seahawks last week, was 6-of-8 for 58 yards and one TD. Starting QB Matt Hasselbeck was 11-of-19 for 139 yards. RBs Ricky Watters and Shaun Alexander had short TD runs.

The Indianapolis Star/News reports Indianapolis Colts WR Trevor Insley, who is currently playing in NFL Europe, will be looking to latch onto a roster spot with the Colts when he returns to the states. Through nine games, Insley ranked 2nd in receptions (55) and 3rd in yards (573) and has been impressive on punt returns (13.5 yards per return), which could benefit him when he tries to land a job with the Colts. The Colts are likely to only keep five receivers on their active roster.
