If the Houston Texans took Johnson, they'd have to assume his entire $11.2 million cap hit. Other candidates the Bills may expose are: CB Ken Irvin, TE Scot Osborne, OT Kris Farris, WR Avion Black, S Raion Hill, LB DaShon Polk and DT Leif Larsen.

Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports for the Sporting News that Buffalo Bills WR Jeremy McDaniel (high ankle sprain) is likely to miss several weeks. Backup Avion Black will most likely take over McDaniel's spot. DE Phil Hansen's (dislocated right elbow) will also be out several weeks but his replacement Bryce Fisher is nursing a broken thumb. However, Fisher will most likely be ready to go on Sunday.

The Buffalo News reports WR Eric Moulds (shoulder) did not talk to the media after practice Thursday and is considered day-to-day. He stated earlier in the week he would play but is listed as questionable and as reported earlier, he hopes to practice Friday. If he can't go, look for either Avion Black or Jeremy McDaniel to replace him in the line up. He may be a gametime decision.

According to BuffaloBills.com, Buffalo Bills President and General Manager Tom Donahue said the competition for the No. 2 slot at wide receiver is going to be interesting over training camp. Peerless Price is the favorite to win the job. Donahue said Price’s work ethic has improved this year but he has to develop the consistency as a playmaker to take the next step. Other receiver’s in the running include Jeremy McDaniel, Avion Black and Kwami Cavil.
