The St. Petersburg Times' Marc Topkin reports free-agent, and former Rays closer, RP Al Reyes (Mets) stopped by Tropicana Field Tuesday, Oct. 7, to wish the team luck. He has prepared for winter ball in the Dominican and hopes to play with Tampa next season.

Josh Thomson, of The Journal News, reports New York Mets RP Al Reyes has pitched two scoreless innings with Double-A Binghamton but it is unlikely that he will be recalled before rosters expand Monday, Sept. 1, according to general manager Omar Minaya.
