Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (ankle) is listed as a reserve on the lineup card Thursday, July 10, against the San Diego Padres.
Fantasy Tip: Expect the Dodgers to activate Crawford from the disabled list before tonight's game. Crawford will likely be eased back into playing time, but he was scorching hot before his injury. He is worth considering in all formats. His activation will leave the Dodgers' outfield stocked with options. Scott Van Slyke and Andre Either are likely to see the least playing time going forward. To a lesser degree, Matt Kemp will also see less playing time.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford's (ankle) return isn't expected to change the lineup, according to manager Don Mattingly. There could be a logjam with OFs Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig and Andre Ethier also in the fold.
Fantasy Tip: What does this exactly mean? We're not sure, and we probably won't know until Mattingly starts filling out his lineups. There's a chance he could ride the hot hand. If anything, it likely means Crawford won't see enough consistent playing time to be considered in standard mixed leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp will turn things around, despite hitting just .247 with five home runs and 18 RBIs on the year, according to manager Don Mattingly. "I think Matt is better than .250," Mattingly said. "I think he's gonna hit. I just know the ability's there. I know it's there. It's been there before, it's there again. He's not at an age where you say, 'It's not there anymore.' There's a possibility that age has basically caught up, but he's still pretty much in a time where body-wise, reaction-wise, he's still young and he's done it before. He can do it again.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp was ejected in the second inning Wednesday, June 11, against the Cincinnati Reds for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire.
Fantasy Tip: Well, the good news is at least he did not depart with any type of injury. Scott Van Slyke replaced him in left field.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (ankle) could have returned from the 15-day disabled list shortly after the team returns from a seven-game road trip next weekend. However, Crawford said the competition for at-bats with OF Matt Kemp has prompted him to seek out a minor-league rehab assignment. "I'm in a situation where I can't afford to come back rusty," Crawford said Monday, June 9. "I've got to make sure I'm on point. You never know, you could have a few bad games and we all know what's going to happen then. I don't know if I'm going to be playing again when I come back. I don't know what my situation's going to be. The rotation is basically putting us in a situation where we have to be on point when we get in the game."
Kemp had struggled in center field, and he has been primarily playing in left field with Crawford out of the mix. The team has no plans to use Crawford in center, meaning there will be a two-man rotation with Crawford and Kemp for at-bats in left field.
Fantasy Tip: Crawford and Kemp both see a decrease in fantasy appeal as long as everyone is healthy. Yasiel Puig and Andre Ethier appear to be untouched as far as their fantasy values are concerned. Crawford is worth using in NL-only leagues and some deeper mixed formats when healthy, but his days of being a must-start appear to be over.
