Philadelphia Phillies P Eddie Bonine (elbow) was placed on the disabled list at Triple-A Lehigh Valley with a right elbow strain, and RP Les Walrond was promoted from Double-A Reading to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

New York Mets RP Les Walrond set aside money for plane tickets and paid his own way to try out for the Mets this offseason, Newsday's Anthony Rieber reports. The Mets signed him to a minor league deal.
