However, if Young cannot play, then OT Kurt Vollers and OT Torrin Tucker will rotate at right tackle for the second straight week. Even if Young plays against the Bills it most likely will be a part-time situation because the Dallas coaches want to make sure he gets through the rest of the season.

Updating an earlier story, the Houston Chronicle reports free agent OT Ryan Young (Texans) did indeed reach an agreement on a three-year contract Tuesday night with the Dallas Cowboys. Full financial terms of the deal were unavailable, but Young was believed to have received a $2 million signing bonus. A source said the value of Young's deal was significantly less than OL Zach Wiegert's with the Texans. "Obviously I'm excited about getting the deal done," Young said Tuesday night from Dallas. "I enjoyed playing for coach Parcells in New York, and that was a huge factor in me coming here."

The Houston Chronicle reports Saturday's signing of free agent OT Zach Wiegert (Jaguars) by the Houston Texans may signal the end of OT Ryan Young's career with the Texans. "We made Ryan a proposal at the start of free agency, and he didn't accept it," Texans GM Charley Casserly said. "We both understood that both us, with free agency starting, were going to go look. We like Ryan Young, but I don't see a scenario where we can afford to have Ryan Young back right now."
