The Star-Telegram reports the Dallas Cowboys placed OL Jeremy McKinney on the non-football injury list. He is OUT for the rest of the season. McKinney underwent angioplasty surgery last week to repair the narrowing of an artery.

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys OL Jeremy McKinney underwent angioplasty surgery Tuesday. He felt shortness of breath after flying home from the team’s game last weekend. He underwent tests and then the surgery, which corrected a narrowing of his artery. His playing status for the rest of the year has not been determined. Ross Tucker will start in his place.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Dallas Cowboys OL Ross Tucker took snaps at left guard during Wednesday’s practice and will start this weekend if Jeremy McKinney (groin) is unable to play.

Carlton Thompson of the Houston Chronicle, reports for the Sporting News, Houston Texans G DeMingo Graham appears to have moved ahead of Jeremy McKinney on the depth chart at right guard. Graham was in the starting lineup for the Chargers 14 times last season.

The Houston Texans remained busy Friday evening, agreeing to terms on a one-year, $550,000 contract with free agent OL DeMingo Graham (Chargers), according to ESPN's John Clayton. Graham received a $25,000 signing bonus and will compete with Jeremy McKinney for the starting job at right guard.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Cleveland Browns pulled special teams ace Brant Boyer back after the Houston Texans selected OL Jeremy McKinney on Monday during the Expansion Draft. A source said last week that the Browns probably would choose not to pay Boyer a $250,000 roster bonus on March 1, but the pullback indicates that Boyer may now be in the Browns' plans.

Updating an ongoing storyline, the Houston Chronicle reports New York Jets CB Marcus Coleman, Jacksonville DT Seth Payne and Jets OT Ryan Young will take physicals for the Houston Texans Friday. Cleveland OL Jeremy McKinney took a physical Thursday, and New York Jets CB Aaron Glenn was in town Wednesday. The Texans might not get all of the players on their wish list, but it's clear to everyone, most importantly to the players, the roster will not be void of experienced quality talent. Playing for the Texans would have a special meaning for Coleman and Glenn because both are from Texas.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans are believed to be most interested in LB Jamie Sharper (Baltimore), OT Tony Boselli (Jacksonville), CB Marcus Coleman (NY Jets), WR/KR Jermaine Lewis (Baltimore), DT Seth Payne (Jacksonville), OT Ryan Young (NY Jets), KR/RB Charlie Rogers (Seattle), OG Matthew Campbell (Washington), OG Jeremy McKinney (Cleveland) and DT Jerry DeLoach (Washington) in the upcoming expansion draft. Sources have said the Texans could also be on the trail of CB Aaron Glenn (NY Jets), DT Gary Walker (Jacksonville), and TE Freddie Jones (San Diego). Sharper, Glenn, Coleman, Payne, Young and McKinney will take physicals for the team this week in Houston.

Patrick McManamon reports for the Beacon Journal the Cleveland Browns have placed CB Corey Fuller, OT Roman Oben, G Jeremy McKinney, CB Lamar Chapman and LB/special teamer Brant Boyer on their expansion list. Fuller was not very pleased. He summed up his feelings with a question: "How do I wind up on an expansion list?" The Browns hope that the Texans will not take Fuller because of his age (31) and $3.8 million salary.

TE/H-Back Aaron Shea (shoulder) practiced Wednesday, but was limited. DE Courtney Brown (ankle) did not practice. Davis said that Jeremy McKinney will see more time at right guard this week.

The Canton Repository reports Cleveland Browns starting RG Jeremy McKinney turned up on the injury report Friday with an elbow problem, but both he and OL Ross Verba (kicked in the head), who practiced Friday, are listed as probable for the Baltimore game and both are expected to play.

Marla Rideonour reports for the Beacon Journal Cleveland Browns G Jeremy McKinney will make his first career start at right guard in place of Andre Johnson. Johnson is on injured reserve and out for the year after undergoing knee surgery. According to coach Butch Davis, McKinney got 60 percent of the snaps yesterday in practice, while Brad Bedell got 40. Davis said he "doesn't have a great deal of nervousness" about starting McKinney.

Patrick McManamon reports for the Akron Beacon Journal the Cleveland Browns suffered some injuries along the offensive line in today's scrimmage. G Jim Pyne sprained his ankle when a teammate fell across it. Coach Butch Davis said it would not be serious, but Pyne said he probably would miss practice time. OL Steve Zahursky (wobbly knee), Everett Lindsay (kicked) and backup T Jeremy McKinney (knee) went to the sidelines as well. "Every time I turned around it seemed like a lineman was down on the ground today," said QB Tim Couch, who threw the ball well.

Patrick McManamon reports for the Beacon Journal the retirement of OT Tony Jones and the back condition of OT Ross Verba has the Cleveland Browns questioning their situation on the offensive line. In addition to the previously reported OL Scott Sanderson, the team may bring in free agent Barrett Brooks for a look. Coach Butch Davis said Steve Zahursky and Jeremy McKinney will have to step into the right tackle position until Verba comes back.

Jeff Schudel reports for the Morning Journal Cleveland Browns QB Ty Detmer strained his left hamstring on the final play of the morning practice of Monday's mini-camp. He was able to return for the afternoon session. G Jeremy McKinney sustained a slight knee injury in the morning and did not practice in the afternoon. As expected neither RB Errict Rhett nor OL Ross Verba praticed during either session. Neither is expected to practice all week. DT Orpheus Roye is up 12 pounds to 315. In addition to the previously reported use of DE Courtney Brown on the right side of the defensive line, Keith McKenzie, the right end last season, lined up at left end with the first team yesterday.
