New York Mets RP Jason Isringhausen, OF Scott Hairston and RP Tim Byrdak, who will all be free agents after the season, are not expected to be traded this year, according to a source familiar with the waiver process. All three players were reportedly claimed off waivers and pulled back by the Mets, which makes them ineligible to be traded. OF Jason Bay, SP Chris Capuano, P D.J. Carrasco, OF Willie Harris and OF Angel Pagan have all cleared waivers and are eligible to be traded.

New York Mets manager Terry Collins said Sunday, June 12, that RP D.J. Carrasco will work in longer relief in the middle innings. "Certainly D.J. is going to be that guy to give us multiple innings if we need it," Collins said.

Manager Terry Collins named Ps Pat Misch, Chris Schwinden and D.J. Carrasco as possible rotation replacements if Dickey is forced to miss any starts.

New York Mets manager Terry Collins confirmed that SP Dillon Gee will be recalled from the minors to start against the Atlanta Braves Sunday, April 17, according to Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com. A corresponding roster move will need to be made before Gee is activated. Collins also said that P Pat Misch was recalled to back up RP D.J. Carrasco in his spot start against the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday, April 16.
