Pittsburgh Steelers CB Ike Taylor (shoulder, neck) said he is fine after going down in the third quarter of Week 8 and stayed down as medical personnel attended to him. Taylor left the field under his own power and later returned to the game despite shoulder and neck injuries. "I'm straight," Taylor said.

Pittsburgh Steelers CB Ike Taylor (thumb) underwent surgery to fix his broken left thumb Tuesday, Aug. 16, and had a pin placed into his hand as part of the procedure. Taylor thinks he will be able to play in the team's season opener Sept. 11. CB William Gay will likely start in Taylor's place in the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 18.
