Former SP Jae Weong Seo made the last start by a Rays pitcher 30 or older, working on his 30th birthday May 24, 2007. However, the streak will end this season, as SP James Shields turned 30 in December.

The Associated Press reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays SP Jae Weong Seo has been moved from the starting rotation into the bullpen. He made 10 starts for the team but only produced a 3-4 record with an 8.10 ERA and 1.90 WHIP. Opponents were hitting a whopping .366 against him.

The Associated Press reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays SP Jae Weong Seo had his best outing of the season Sunday, May 13, after being hit hard in six of his seven previous starts. Facing the slumping Toronto Blue Jays, Seo gave up just two hits in seven innings while fanning seven and walking two. He improved to 2-3 on the year while lowering his ERA to 7.26.
