Chicago White Sox SP John Danks (shoulder) tossed 101 pitches over six innings for Triple-A Charlotte Sunday, May 12, and he'll make another rehab start for Charlotte May 18 before the team decides whether to bring him back.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably best to temper your expectations for Danks when he initally returns to the White Sox's starting rotation. The good news is that his shoulder strength looks to be close to 100 percent. Put him on your deep mixed radar as he finishes up his rehab stint.

Chicago White Sox SP Gavin Floyd (elbow) will undergo season-ending surgery to fix a tear in the flexor muscle in his right elbow Tuesday, May 7. Floyd will also have the ulnar collateral ligament repaired during surgery, and he's expected to miss anywhere from 14 to 19 months.

Fantasy Tip: Floyd can be dropped in all formats, obviously. He's likely pitched his last game in a White Sox uniform, too. Hector Santiago should now be a fixture in the rotation until John Danks (shoulder) returns later this month or in early June. Jake Peavy (back) could also land on the disabled list, so there is plenty of opportunity for Santiago to stick in the rotation even longer. He should be owned even deep mixed leagues.

Chicago White Sox SP John Danks (shoulder) is getting an extra day of rest before starting his minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Birmingham Thursday, May 2. It's unknown how many rehab games he will require before he is ready to join the big club.

Chicago White Sox SP John Danks (shoulder) hit 89 mph with his fastball during a six-inning game in extended spring training Tuesday, April 9, according to Robin Ventura. Danks threw more than 70 pitches in the outing. He will remain in Arizona to build arm strength until he can go on a minor league rehab assignment.
