The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Tigers P Kyle Sleeth, the team's first-round pick three years ago, made his spring debut. Sleeth went two scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked none and struck out three.

Jim Molony, of Tigers.MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers P Kyle Sleeth is completely healthy, and he has been throwing four pitches. Sleeth has been throwing a fastball, changeup, slider and his curveball, which he hadn't thrown in about a year and a half. Sleeth underwent Tommy John surgery in 2005.

Tigers | Sleeth slowly regaining confidence

Jason Beck, of Detroit.Tigers.MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers P Kyle Sleeth has finally found an effective release point in his throwing motion and is regaining his confidence after battling back from Tommy John surgery the past two years. "I've been healthy since the middle part of last year," he said, "but it took me forever to find confidence in my release point, and I didn't do that until the end of the year. I had no confidence in what I was throwing after the surgery. It's been all new from the beginning. I learned how to throw, and I finally got to the point one day where it just clicked during [instructional league]. It became a natural motion." Sleeth was the Tigers first-round draft pick (third overall) in the 2003 draft.

Jason Beck, of Detroit.Tigers.MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers P Kyle Sleeth earned his second win Monday, Aug. 14, allowing one run over five innings for Class A Lakeland. In the outing, he walked three batters and struck out one, while lowering his ERA to 9.82 in six starts at the Class A level.

Tigers | Sleeth to throw bullpen session Monday

Detroit Tigers minor league P Kyle Sleeth (forearm), now playing for Single-A Lakeland, threw an eight-minute bullpen session Friday, June 30, and is scheduled to throw a 12-minute session Monday, July 3, according to head athletic trainer Kevin Rand. Sleeth, who is in the midst of making a comeback from Tommy John surgery, is trying to work his way back to game action, after experiencing tightness in his forearm last month.
