Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports S Marcus Coleman, who was recently released by the Dallas Cowboys following his recent arrest and DWI charge, expressed regret and offered an apology to his former coach and team. "I apologize to the organization, my teammates, my family and my friends," Coleman said. "I am very disappointed in this whole situation. I want to be especially apologetic to Coach (Bill) Parcells because I know I let him down. And he cares not only about my football life, but my life in general."

ESPN's Ed Werder reports Dallas Cowboys S Marcus Coleman has been released from the team. Coleman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Saturday, Nov. 11, according to media reports in Dallas. Coleman reportedly failed a sobriety test and sources told KTVT-TV that Coleman was released shortly after posting a $500 bond.

Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys FS Marcus Coleman will likely replace FS Pat Watkins at free safety for the Week 8 game. Watkins said he has not been practicing with the No. 1 defense this week.

Rick Herrin, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells will not make a decision on who the team's starting free safety will be in Week 8 until right before the game begins. Rookie FS Pat Watkins has been starting, but his performance has not been up to the level Parcells wants to see at the position. If Watkins does not get the nod, FS Keith Davis or FS Marcus Coleman will step in.
