The New York Yankees placed RP David Robertson (oblique) on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, May 15, with a strained left oblique muscle. RP Rafael Soriano will be left to close out the ninth inning in Robertson's absence. Soriano has saved both of his chances with Robertson injured. RPs Cory Wade and Boone Logan will be trusted with more pressure-packed innings in the back of the bullpen.

New York Yankees RP Boone Logan (back) said Wednesday, April 4, that he can't explain why his back tightened up Tuesday, April 3. He thought the tightness would go away during his sleep, but it didn't. "I wish I had a story," Logan said. He had an MRI which showed no problems, and he is expected to be ready to go for the opener Friday, April 6.
