Bill Williamson, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings rookie DE Kane Anderson retired Monday, August 11. Vikings head coach Mike Tice thought a switch to tight end would better suit Anderson, but Anderson insisted on retiring.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports the Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent rookie DE Kane Anderson. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
