Pedro Feliciano Fantasy Baseball News, Notes, Rumors and Statistics
The latest Pedro Feliciano MLB and fantasy baseball news
Thu, 09 May 2013 13:56:54 -0700 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano (illness) is on the disabled list in the minor leagues due to food poisoning.
Wed, 03 Apr 2013 10:11:41 -0700 New York Mets RPs Frank Francisco (elbow) and Pedro Feliciano each threw an inning in a simulated game on Tuesday, April 2, at Port St. Lucie, Fla. Fantasy Tip: Francisco is still not ready for an official rehab assignment, so he's probably a couple of weeks away, at least. Bobby Parnell opened as the Mets' closer and stands a reasonable chance to hold the job once Francisco returns. Feliciano hasn't made a major league appearance since 2010 because of shoulder issues and is looking to build up arm strength. He's not on fantasy radars.
Wed, 27 Mar 2013 12:07:22 -0700 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano has decided that he will pitch for Single-A St. Lucie instead of at Triple-A Las Vegas.
Tue, 26 Mar 2013 09:57:25 -0700 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano will remain with the team on a minor league deal. Feliciano will not be able to earn $1 million plus incentives now.
Mon, 25 Mar 2013 14:17:41 -0700 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano won't be on the opening day roster, and the team is more concerned with his durability than his lack of velocity. He was only throwing 82-83 mph this spring. Feliciano will be at Triple-A Las Vegas for about a month.
Thu, 14 Mar 2013 16:00:50 -0700 New York Mets RPs Pedro Feliciano, Scott Rice and Robert Carson are all in competition for a spot in the team's bullpen, but there is a chance that none of them crack the roster. RP Josh Edgin is the lone lefty that is secured a spot in the bullpen. RP Darin Gorski was sent to the minors and the team is stretching RP Aaron Laffey out as a starter. Carson may have the advantage since he's already on the 40-man roster. The team may choose to carry RP Jeurys Familia over these three, however.
Fri, 01 Mar 2013 15:41:53 -0800 New York Mets RPs LaTroy Hawkins, Pedro Feliciano and Tim Byrdak (shoulder) have to be told by March 26 whether they've made the roster or they'll earn $100,000 to be sent to the minors. The Mets could also choose to flat out release them. Hawkins appears to be a lock for the bullpen and Feliciano is a leading contender as well. Byrdak's deadline is a non-issue because the team signed him knowing he wouldn't be ready for the start of the season.
Fri, 01 Mar 2013 15:16:50 -0800 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano (heart) threw a light bullpen session while wearing his new heart monitor Friday, March 1.
Thu, 28 Feb 2013 16:37:14 -0800 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano (heart) will wear a heart monitor on the field when he pitches. Feliciano must beat out RPs Robert Carson, Darin Gorski, Scott Rice and Aaron Laffey to become the other lefty reliever alongside RP Josh Edgin in the bullpen.
Thu, 28 Feb 2013 13:36:34 -0800 New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano (heart) has been diagnosed with a rare condition known as left ventricular noncompaction that shouldn't affect his ability to pitch, according to his agent. Feliciano underwent an electrocardiograph, echocardiogram and a cardiovascular MRI exam. "I will attend to my ailment that was discovered during a routine checkup and not because of pain, but I can honestly say it will not keep me up at night. I will be on top of my condition, but it will not stop me from playing baseball," Feliciano said. He is not dealing with a hole in his heart, as was previously feared. Feliciano will have plenty of time to get ready for the start of the season.
