"There was never any hatchet to bury," said Favre. "Javon and I are good friends, and we stayed in contact long after he left. That makes for good TV stuff. He and I are fine, and I think he can help us. I want him to have a great year - he deserves it. He's a great guy, and what happened in the past is long over."

Minnesota Vikings WR Javon Walker underwent cartilage replacement surgery in Jerusalem in March 2009, which was performed Dr. Anthony Galea, who was suspected of providing performance-enhancing drugs to professional athletes, report Don Van Natta Jr., Michael S. Schmidt and Ian Austen, of The New York Times. Walker had to have the surgery in Jerusalem because the procedure was not approved in the United States or Canada. Walker said he had the surgery in Jerusalem because the recovery time was half of what it would have been if he had the procedure recommended by doctors in the United States.
