"I'm pointing (the finger) right here. It is a frustrating deal. But I put it on me. When they win - and I told you guys last week - the credit goes to them for executing the game plan. I didn't have them ready to play. For some reason we blew very simple adjustments that we did the entire offseason. There was nothing special in this game plan. To not execute, I take that personally. Because I really believe the way you play is a direct reflection of the way you're coached. I take that personally. We'll have them ready to play," Bresnahan said.

Lewis placed the blame on himself for his team's defensive performance Week 10 and not on defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan. "I'm responsible for the football team, so it stops here...I've underachieved as a football coach," Lewis said.
