Musgrave's vast experience in the West Coast offense is something head coach Joe Gibbs is excited to bring to the team. "He's been a part of a lot of [offenses] that have been real successful," Gibbs said. "He has a real good understanding of offensive football. The Dallas Morning News reports former Florida coach Galen Hall reportedly is the leading candidate to become the Dallas Cowboys new offensive coordinator. He coached RB Emmitt Smith in college. Hall had a 41-18 record in six seasons as Florida's coach. He also led the Orlando Thunder of the World League of American Football to a championship, he led the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe to championships in 1998 and 2000 and last season he coached in the XFL with Orlando. Some other potential candidates are former Minnesota offensive coordinator Sherman Lewis, Pittsburgh QBs coach Tom Clements, Philadelphia QBs coach Brad Childress, Carolina offensive coordinator Richard Williamson and former Carolina offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave.
