Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave called many short, safe passes, and the Vikings didn't wander too far past the line of scrimmage. Only two of Ponder's attempts traveled longer than 20 yards in the air.

While former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels was the leading candidate to become the next offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams, a significant snag in negotiations has led the team to broaden its search to include coaches with West Coast-system roots in which QB Sam Bradford excelled during his rookie season, according to sources, reports ESPN's Chris Mortensen. The Rams went through league channels early Tuesday, Jan. 18, to request interviews with coaches including Atlanta Falcons assistant head coach Bill Musgrave and Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.
