Former NFL FS Darren Sharper pleaded guilty in Las Vegas to reduced felony attempted sexual assault Tuesday, March 24, as part of a four-state plea deal that will send him to federal prison for roughly nine years. A plea agreement will have Sharper serve 38 months to eight years in prison for the Nevada conviction at the same time he's serving sentences from California, Arizona and Louisiana. He is due in federal court in New Orleans April 6.

Former S Darren Sharper will reportedly not face criminal charges in Florida after an assistant state attorney in Miami cited lack of evidence and a delayed disclosure by the alleged victim. However, he remains in jail in Los Angeles on similar date-rape charges after he was denied a bid for bail in late April. Sharper is also facing similar charges in Arizona and remains under investigation for sexual assault in Louisiana and Nevada.

The report says the two women were under the influence of an unknown substance. Former NFL FS Darren Sharper surrendered himself to police Friday, Feb. 28, in connection with the alleged rapes of two women in New Orleans last year. Erik Nunez, an acquaintance of Sharper, is also facing two charges of aggravated rape in the incident. If convicted, he could face more than 30 years in state prison in California. If convicted of aggravated rape in Louisiana, Sharper and Nunez would face life imprisonment.
