Sharper said he could have played in the game but would not have been able to finish. "It just wasn't right," Sharper said. "I might have been OK for a quarter, but I don't think I could have played the whole game."

CB Jabari Greer returned an interception for a touchdown in the game, tying a single-season franchise mark set in 1998 with five scores on an interception this year. FS Darren Sharper's seventh interception of the season was the team's 16th of the year, surpassing the team's total of 15 in 2008. The Saints have at least one interception in every game this year.
