The Denver Broncos are expected to bring in free-agent SS Darren Sharper (Saints) for a workout Tuesday, Sept. 20. He'll be one of a handful of players working out, as the team also looks for help along the defensive line and at running back.

Now that the New England Patriots have released both S Brandon Meriweather and S James Sanders, the team is effectively handing a the reins of the safety position over to S Patrick Chung. It is not clear who will start next to him in the secondary. The team could look to sign free-agent S Darren Sharper (Saints) and there has been talk of moving CBs Antwaun Molden or Ras-I Dowling to safety. Sergio Brown and Josh Barrett are also both in the mix.
