Updating previous reports, the Rock Hill Herald's Darin Gantt reports Carolina Panthers S Scott Farley (hamstring) is probably finished for the year. Team officials said his hamstring injury was extremely serious, with the muscle torn away from the bone.

Updating a previous story, the Rock Hill Herald's Darin Gantt reports Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox said S Scott Farley's (hamstring) suffered a "serious" hamstring injury and likely wouldn't practice for some time. He was an extreme longshot to make the team anyway because of the team's depth at safety.
