Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent LB Keith Brooking said the team has expressed interest in re-signing him. "I don't think Jerry Jones is a liar," Brooking joked. "I know Jason Garrett is not, but they could have said that just to make my agent feel better." Brooking would like to return to the team in 2012.

Dallas Cowboys LBs Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware were the most active on the defense in the team's loss to the New York Jets in Week 1. LBs Bradie James and Keith Brooking wound up rotating in the other linebacker spot. "Sean worked his tail off in training camp and deserved the right to be out there. I'm fine with the situation," Brooking said immediately after the game. "I know my role on my team and I accept the role fully. As we get to playing more and playing more snaps, it'll work itself out."
