Philadelphia Eagles CB Joselio Hanson is expected to benefit from the trade of CB Asante Samuel to the Atlanta Falcons. Hanson, who specializes in the slot, can also jump outside and start some games if needed. CBs Curtis Marsh, Brandon Hughes and Trevard Lindley each might move up the pecking order, depending on what the team does in free agency and the NFL Draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles have received multiple trade offers for CB Joselio Hanson and may trade him before they decide on their final roster. The team has not asked Hanson to take a pay cut in order to stay. The team could get a fifth-round draft pick or a conditional sixth-round pick for Hanson.

Bob Brookover, of The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles CB Joselio Hanson will be back at practice Wednesday, Dec. 9, following a four-week suspension. "We haven't been able to do anything with him," head coach Andy Reid said. "I just want to see where he's at. He's normally a hard worker, but he's been gone a month. I want to see what kind of shape he's in. I would hope that he'd be able to get back in there and go, but I'll have to see."

"We're going to take it week by week, but this week is not looking good," head coach Andy Reid said. "It's not a high ankle sprain. It's on the inside of his ankle and it is fairly significant." CB Roderick Hood would probably get the start if Sheppard is unable to play and CB Joselio Hanson would then take Hood's nickel cornerback position.

Hanson said, "I think [CB Joselio] Hanson is a guy who is kind of making plays for us. He had two good games and we are going to play him a little bit more in our nickel situation this coming week.
