The Tennessee Titans have several defensive tackles vying for spots heading into training camp. DL Shaun Smith is worried about his roster spot since he is scheduled to make $2 million. The team also has DLs Jurrell Casey, Zach Clayton, Lamar Divens, DaJohn Harris, Karl Klug, Sen'Derrick Marks and Mike Martin in the mix. "With the guys we drafted and the guys we have here, I think there's a lot of competition," defensive coordinator Jerry Gray said. "The good thing is that if anyone rests, they know the guys behind them are really doing a great job."

Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray said DL Shaun Smith is a "work in progress," as he continues to adjust to a 4-3 defensive scheme from the 3-4 system he worked in primarily during his days with the Kansas City Chiefs. "He's still adjusting," Gray said. "That's the good thing. When he stops adjusting, he's going to be in trouble. Because again, if you stop growing, that means you're not going what you're supposed to do. That's the good thing."
