The Cleveland Indians have hired former MLB SS Adam Everett to be their special assistant to baseball operations. He will provide infield instruction during spring training and fill various capacities at the major and minor league levels. During the regular season, Everett will continue to work with infielders throughout the organization.

The Cleveland Indians officially purchased the contracts of OF Travis Buck, SS Adam Everett, RP Justin Germano and 3B Jack Hannahan Thursday, March 31, reports Jordan Bastian, of MLB.com. The team officially cleared room on the 40-man Opening Day roster for them Wednesday, March 30.
