With his performance on Sunday, Oct. 6, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning now has 61,371 passing yards, which elevated him into second all-time ahead of Dan Marino (61,361). Manning is behind Brett Favre, who threw for 71,838 yards with the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes against the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5. Manning becomes the sixth player to throw for that many, and the first since Joe Kapp on Sept. 28, 1969. Manning, a four-time MVP, also tied Brett Favre's NFL record with his 23rd career game with at least four TD throws, and Drew Brees' mark with his seventh career five-TD performance.

Packers | Unlikely to retire Brett Favre's jersey in 2013

Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy said he does not expect the Packers to retire retired QB Brett Favre's jersey this season but does expect it to happen at some point. Murphy did not rule out an appearance by Favre at some point at Lambeau Field this season.

Former NFL QB Brett Favre said the reason he decided to forgo retirement in 2010 and return to the Minnesota Vikings was due to financial reasons. "The money was too good," Favre said. "I hate to say it's about money, but I felt the money was a lot." The Vikings lured Favre back for a 20th season with a contract worth upwards of $20 million.
