Former WR Mike Furrey had previously said during a radio interview that the team's quarterbacks have been informed that Culpepper will be the starter next season. According to the source, Culpepper might remain in the mix, but the team is still exploring its options in signing a veteran quarterback or selecting one in the first round of the NFL Draft.

"I can tell you from what we've talked about, he's looking to go somewhere and play and contribute," said Furrey, who said he has spoken to Curtis occasionally. "I know very well that he loves this offense. So we're hoping to get that done."
