He is waiting to find out if he will need surgery. Turnbow expects to undergo an MRI in the next day or so. "Whatever it is, I'm going to be shut down for a while," said Turnbow. "My chance for the big league team is over, either way."

On Sunday, Feb. 28, the swelling burst as he was warming up to throw batting practice and after the trainers took a look he was deemed fit to continue throwing. "Now that it popped all the pressure is gone," he said. "I was able to go out today and throw more strikes."
