New York Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff admitted that PK Josh Brown and PK Nick Folk will be in a battle for the team's kicking job. "I want to create the most competitive atmosphere that I possibly can," Westhoff said. "Josh Brown is the best candidate to do that with. We want to have a viable battle here to see who's going to win our job and to get the best possible guy that we can put on the field."

St. Louis Rams PK Josh Brown said Saturday, Dec. 31, that a lack of chances due to his team's inability to score has led to his inconsistency this season. "Oh yeah, absolutely, it wears you down man," Brown said. "It's hard, and it's your responsibility to stay up." Brown believes lack of focus led to his miss last week in a shutout loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
