The Toronto Blue Jays will start SP Chad Jenkins and SP Ramon Ortiz on Monday and Tuesday, May 20 and 21, against the Tampa Bay Rays. The decision previously had been on hold in case Toronto needed to use Jenkins out of the bullpen earlier in the week. The move allows Toronto to keep SP's Mark Buehrle and R.A. Dickey on normal rest.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey (neck, back) is expected to make his next start Sunday, April 28, according to manager John Gibbons.
Fantasy Tip: The injury to Josh Johnson (triceps) has complicated the team's starting rotation. Dickey is still dealing with pain, which has affected his mechanics, so as long as he's not 100 percent, he may not be in top form. Consider this when deciding whether to start him this weekend.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey's (neck, back) recent injury hasn't kept him from pitching, but it has affected the velocity on his knuckleball and has changed up his release point. The velocity on his knuckleball has dropped from 77 mph early in the year to 75 mph in his last two outings. Dickey said he doesn't expect to sit out for a period of time due to this injury.
Fantasy Tip: While Dickey didn't have a terrible start Tuesday, it wasn't great, either. It remains to be seen if his injury will affect any more of his next starts, but you should keep it in mind when considering matchups.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey (back, neck) allowed four earned runs, six hits and five walks over six innings in a loss Tuesday, April 23, against the Baltimore Orioles. After the outing, he admitted to not feeling 100 percent, as he deals with discomfort in his back and neck. "It feels like going to battle with a three-shooter instead of a six-shooter," Dickey said.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey slipped to 2-3 with a subpar ERA of 4.66, and perhaps his problems can be attributed to not being 100 percent, and the fact he changed to the more difficult American League. Fantasy owners will just have to stick with him at this point and hope he turns it around since they likely invested heavily in him on draft day, and his trade value is near its nadir.

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey (neck, back) said he will start against the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday, April 23, but the tightness in his neck and upper back still "emits pain." Dickey skipped his normal between-starts bullpen this week.
Fantasy Tip: Dickey pitched through a torn abdominal muscle last year, so he has some experience pitching through pain. However, one has to wonder if his new ailment will affect the performance of his knuckler and against one of the better hitting teams in the league.
