John Niyo, of The Detroit News, reports free-agent QB Drew Henson (Lions) is unsure of his plans. He was in Dallas with family when he heard he was let go by the Detroit Lions. Henson plans to return to Detroit and continue throwing and working out on his own. Henson, 29, is not ready to give up on his playing career. "I just want to look around and see what opportunities might be out there," Henson said.

Tom Kowalski, of mlive.com, reports the Detroit Lions have no interest in signing free agent QB Drew Henson (Cowboys). The Lions are happy with all three quarterbacks on their roster: QBs Jon Kitna and backups Dan Orlovsky and Josh McCown. However, a team official said that if one of their quarterbacks gets hurt, Henson would be at the top of the short list of players to be contacted.

In his post minicamp news conference Friday, June 2, Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said QB Drew Henson playing in NFL Europe was a good experience for Henson, but Parcells expected Henson would make more progress than he did. Parcells is hoping Henson will improve with more experience. He did say Henson was further along this year than last year.

Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys QB Drew Henson, who is currently playing for the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe, has not been performing very well. Despite getting off to a hot start, Henson's numbers have been very average. His 84.7 quarterback rating ranks No. 3 in a six team league and he averages only 6.49 yards per attempt. His inability to impress the team throughout the season may have hurt his chances of becoming the Cowboys' future starting quarterback.
